Supporting children through charity cards
三井住友海上グループ社員の社会貢献活動団体「スマイルハートクラブ」と特定非営利活動法人「子供地球基金」は、1992年よりチャリティーカードを作成・販売し、世界の紛争・被災地域の子どもたちの支援活動を行っています。
We support children in areas of conflict and areas affected by disasters by producing, selling and donating the proceeds of charity cards in collaboration with Kids Earth Fund.

KIDS Helping KIDS 子どもたちが子どもたちを救う
災害、紛争、貧困、環境破壊・・・。現代の子どもたちを取り巻く環境や未来は、決してたやすくはありません。カードの収益金は、支援が必要な子どもたちに役立てられます。世界中の子どもたちが、自分たちの手で平和な社会を作るひとつの方法として、このカードは作成されています。
Disasters, disputes, poverty, and environmental destruction… the environment that surrounds many children is neither nurturing nor healthy. The proceeds of the KIDS EARTH FUND Christmas cards will be used for children who need support. Children’s sharing of their designs is one way in which they can help others in need and to promote a peaceful society.

昨年のクリスマスカードと絵はがきの収益金が確定し、実施する支援活動の内容について、以下のとおり子供地球基金と合意しました。購入にご協力くださった皆さま、ありがとうございました。
The proceeds of 2008-2009 charity cards were fixed, and Smile Heart Club and Kids Earth Fund agreed on about the support activities of children as follows. Thank you for purchasing our cards.
寄付金総額/The Total Contributions
クリスマスカード11,492枚、絵はがき2,120枚が売れました。寄付金総額は売上金から印刷費を支払った収益金に、協力者からのご寄付を加えた1,463,348円となりました。
11,492 Christmas cards and 2,120 picture postcards were sold. The total contributions were \1,463,348, which was the total of the proceeds and donations from those who supported us.

活動内容と配分/The support activities and resource distribution
「子供地球基金」クロアチア支部/Kids Earth Fund Croatian branch \1,063,348 （継続支援/continuance）
子供地球基金クロアチア支部は2008年に設立されました。昨年まで13年間このプロジェクトを担当している現地NGO「SUNCOKRET」と協力し、相互の専門性を活かして、間接的戦争被災者である子どもたちの支援事業を継続して行います。具体的には、アートワークショップ、児童心理カウンセリング等、昨年までの活動を引き続き実施していきます。
Kids Earth Fund Croatian branch was established in 2008. They will have a sustainable program for the indirectly war-affected children in cooperation with SUNCOKRET, the local NGO which took charge of this project for 13 years, while relying on the expertise of each other. Specifically, they are continuing the art workshops and child psychology counseling which were held last year.
BETTER WAY（セルビアのNGO）/BETTER WAY(Serbian local NGO) \400,000 （継続支援/continuance）
セルビア共和国において、昨年同様、経済的に苦しい立場にある家庭の子ども、また知的障がいのある子どもを対象に、創作ワークショップ等による心のケアの活動を実施します。日本のＮＧＯ「ＪＥＮ」に仲介を依頼します。
BETTER WAY will continuously have a psychological care program in the Republic of Serbia through creative workshops for children of impecunious families and intellectually disabled children. We asked the Japanese NGO JEN to act as an intermediary between BETTER WAY and us.
