Product pamphlets in voice-recorded form
We are the first in the insurance industry to implement “SP Codes (high-density two-dimensional code)*” that allows the insurance content to be read by sound as part of the product brochures.
We have set “Speechio*” a reading device for the visually impaired and the aged so they are able to check the brochure content.

Eco-Friendly Projects
Spreading ECO Inspections and ECO Maintenance of Vehicles- We control hazardous gas emissions from vehicles and provide CO2-reducing, eco-friendly maintenance skills at our affiliated car maintenance factory through fuel efficiency improvement.

- We hold seminars and individual consulting sessions to support certification.
- Recycling Automobile Components
- We auction and provide reusable auto parts from damaged vehicles in accidents to recycle markets. We are encouraging environment-friendly repair of automobiles. Upon confirming the customers' inclinations, we encourage repair of damaged parts that can be repaired and the use of recycled parts for this purpose.

We sell Eco Balance, also known as “Sea and Sky”, an eco-friendly investment trust product that invests in selected companies that have high environmental awareness and engage in environmental projects.
In assessing the companies' environmental projects, we also focus on their preventative measures against global warming.
MSI Guaranteed Weather wins an award as the Best Dealer in Asia
In a contest organized by Environmental Finance, a monthly U.K magazine, MSI Guaranteed Weather, LLC, a U.S. subsidiary of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd., won an award for the third time, in the category of 2008 Weather Derivative for being the Best Dealer in Asia.
MSI Guaranteed Weather was the only company to receive the award among Japanese non-life insurers. The award recognized the company for actively expanding weather derivative business in the U.S. as well as Asia-Pacific region, and for its significant global market share.
