Eco Action 21 Certification Acquisition Assistance
Eco Action 21 was formulated by the Ministry of the Environment in 1996 and was officially instituted as a certificated registration system in 2004 after several modifications.
Based on the international environmental standard SO14001, Eco Action 21 is a simplified environmental ISO aimed at its diffusion amongst small and medium sized businesses. It is a management system that makes the reduction in CO2 emissions of vehicles, water usage and waste material, possible at low costs in a short period of time.
We fully assist the acquisition o the Eco Action 21 certificate through seminars and individual consultations.
1. It is possible to proceed with environmentally friendly measures in a relatively easy, efficient and synthetic manner due to the 3 elements of environmental management system, environmental projects and environmental reporting having been integrated together.
2. It brings beneficiary effects to the business as heating, electricity and other expenses will be reduced whereas productivity and yielding percentage will be increased.
3. By producing and externally presenting an environmental activity report, the credibility of the company towards stakeholders (clients or general consumers) will increase.

Eco Action 21 certificate acquisition in the Advance Club
By July 2007, 16 branches and 41 members of the Advance Club (our agent and prominent car maintenance group) had acquired the Eco Action 21 certificate and 78 members were working to acquire the certificate.
Advance Club identifies environmental operations as one of its core enterprises and will continue to strive to acquire Eco Action 21 certificates in the future.
Eco Action 21 acquisition seminar [Kochi branch]
The Kochi branch of Advance Club has held an open seminar for the acquisition of the certificate where 9 companies participated to learn from the intensive 2 hour session. The same seminar was repeated after 2 months to further improve knowledge about the certificate as well as to check up on the state of the factories after 2 months. Participants are currently working to obtain the certificate.
The Aozora Prize for Excellence in Pro-Environmental Activity awarded to the Hikami-gun Vehicle Inspection Center Association [Kyoto branch]
The Hikami-gun Vehicle Inspection Center Cooperative Association affiliated to the Kyoto branch of Advance Club acquired the certificate in November 2005 for the first time in the country as a cooperative association. For this and for their relentless endeavor toward reducing CO2 emissions and implementation of environmental vehicle inspections, the association was awarded the Aozora prize for individuals or groups in Hyogo that have excelled in pro-environmental activities.
Okayama branch accredited as Okayama's Official Ecological Business Establishment – The accreditation ceremony was held on the 27th of September 2006 at the Okayama prefectural office building [Okayama branch]
2006 saw the outstanding achievement of 7 out of the 11 companies that were accredited being members of Advance Club, an agent organization of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance.
The Ecological Business Establishment accreditation was established by the prefectural government in 2004 to promote the use of recycling and avoid the wasteful use of resources. The accredited companies will not only be presented in the prefectural government's website but will also be allowed to use an environmentally friendly product tag on advertisements.
